I'm just gonna post drawings I made and explain them bc for as many thoughts and analysises as I do have I don't think any of them are interesting enough to make a full post on them... even if somehow some of them got over 6000 notes on tumblor.



My friend thinks the sex one is better, I think the snowgrave one is better bc sex is already implied bc of the meme, though I appreciate the audacity of the second one. We need more of that.

Basically I learned about the rose petal animation getting removed from the game and given myself I found it, like, funny?? Or something??? Like WOW potentially accidental SA metaphor. That's CRAZY. I would've just done an image edit but I made a drawing instead because I'm sooooo cool. It was actually pretty hard to get the posing right but I think I managed to make it look natural.

I saw a post that was like "Kriselle enjoyers not having a good time right now" and as someone who only ships Kriselle in a very fucked up way because of Snowgrave I don't know what they're talking about lol ISN'T THE TERRIBLENESS THE FUN PART



I got paid 20$ to draw this EXCELLENT screenshot redraw heheheh. Best commission ever. Usually I'd price higher but 1. this is a known commissioner 2. I wanted to draw it 3. I mostly traced the original to make it HD so it's not like I had to fuck with posing too much

I just like the idea of being possessed and your fingers flex on their own on an instrument you can’t play and there’s music. It sounds magical! Other people drew this concept in comics way better than me but at least my rendition of it is cute



A softer pastel one that has Susie with the red headband. I've got a feeling that the dark world will go away and even if the light world persists, she's not really going to be friends with Ralsei forever... At least outside of her heart.

Originally I was going to draw shipping art as my revenge but then I realize 99% of Knight Theories make them an adult (and sometimes middle aged) and all the main cast are probably not 18 and as much as I love age gaps I was mostly making this for funnies and it wouldn't be funny to get a bunch of hate comments over it. SIGH... DEER CHEATING WITH SUSIE IS CANCELED

I thought it'd be cool if later in Snowgrave you make Noelle kill Kris and absorb your soul in order to gain even more control over her and get a more useful and powerful vessel. It actually seems strangely plausible looking back. "The Girl" in the prophecy has long hair and holds a sword instead of an axe, "love" could mean many things in UTDR, and "the girl" who might be noelle has a rightsideup heart that might be a soul... YOU WERE USED UP... I don't care if it'll happen for real though I just thought it'd be awesome to draw B)

I did record all my deltarune reactions but I've been VERY BUSY this month with commissions and . Drawing. And Friend Facts and reviving my very old RP group and redoing my room. Haven't had time to edit. RIPPPP

I like the snowgrave one better because you are doing snowgrave and pointedly not sex.
I think I liked the rose animation better (nice Utena reference) but I can see why they felt the need to tone it down to a less suggestive bit of symbolism and the root animation is good too.
I am surprised that people apparently read it that way because while I can see where people would get it given the lead up and how it cuts to Kris in the bathroom afterwards if I saw those events and came to that conclusion my first reaction would be to second guess if I'd interpreted things correctly because of how much of an escalation that would be in terms of content.

I can understand changing it because given it is The Internet people would be paying way too much attention to the potential sex metaphor than the actual chilling effect of Snowgrave. People would be fighting about it all the time and blaming each other "Only PERVERTS think it's sexual". I'M DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL AND ARTFUL but I get the removal.

Edit: To clarify I never thought it was anything more than a metaphor, by the way haha. I NEVER AT ANY POINT THOUGHT THEY WERE LITERALLY DOING ANYTHING

Yeah, maybe it's just because I'm probably ace but I feel like people get too hung up on sex as a concept. Also "the only perverts think it's sexual" thing you mentioned reminds me how there were people arguing that a scene in The Summer Hikaru Died was completely non-sexual and if you read sexual subtext into it it's because you're shipping-brained fujoshi (derogatory) when it's a scene where the main character puts his arm into the yonic opening on the chest of the creature that's taken the appearance of his best friend who he is implied to have had a crush on and both of them if I recall correctly, but definitely at least the creature, derive a sort of physical pleasure from the experience but also find it a little awkward and a little scary for the main character at least.

I am aroace :’D I also think people should be more normal about sex but also in the way of not being scared to talk about it. I think Snowgrave is an abusive relationship and it might be useful to some people to add an extra element to it in fanart. Or just fun, nothing wrong with fun

I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that you weren't aroace. I actually also think that people should be more normal about sex in the way that you mention and I should have mentioned that in my prior comment.
Even though I lack interest in sex in real life I often enjoy reading about it in fiction because it can be an interesting vehicle to explore character dynamics and provide characterization and romantic attraction is in some ways all the more interesting intriguing in fiction because I don't experience it myself.
Anyway while I don't think it's bad for people to include that in fanworks I think I can imagine why Toby and co. would want to avoid the controversy hotbed of implying that the player is using Kris as a vessel to sexually assault Noelle in that scene especially if that wasn't the intended implication. I'm sorry for phrasing that in such an uncharitable way but I think that it makes my point of why they might have wanted to avoid implying that reading more clear.

Exactly! Kriselle enjoyers are having a great time, unless they're cowards. I personally like the pairing in both routes, but Snowgrave is the main foundation on which the ship rests; I wouldn't have taken such interest in their dynamic without it!

The 'Susie and Kris pouring juice into each other's mouths' redraw is absolutely magical.

Susie with the red horns is very cute! And the concept behind it breaks my heart a little.

Oh, wow, the concept of the player possessing Noelle directly later in the Snowgrave route is alarmingly plausible.
